Best Chinese food in Mt pleasant maybe charleston. I’m so jealous we don’t have one on Johns island. Higher quality ingredients than standard issue Chinese. They have some soups I haven’t been brave enough to try but they look good.

I really used to love this place, but after tonight's experience I will never go back. I ordered the Chef's special sweet and sour pork and thousand island shrimp along with some other items. The shrimp was really greasy and disappointing, but I figured it was an off night. When I started the pork, it tasted really strange, nothing like my previous experiences. After a closer look I realized it wasn't pork, but frozen chicken fingers tossed in the same sauce. I was still charged the premium price for the Chef's special, but was attempted to be fooled with chicken fingers as a substitute. Who does this? Note to owner, you lost a good customer by trying to fool him instead of just saying you didn't have the items in stock.

The best authentic mom-pop Chinese restaurant in Charleston! The food is just like we had in China if you try the traditional dishes such as pork belly with potato, spicy fish, just to name a few. But you have to be patient and the set up is not fancy at all...you might have to use some paper plates! But the food make it all worth it!! We are from Columbia and every time we are in Charleston this place is a must. All the Chinese in town knows Golden Garden. Happy Dinning!!

This used to be my go to place so we decided to go here tonight 08--18-18 well we ordered our food and the cook was coughing all over the food he was preparing then he blew A nasty snot rocket right onto the floor in the kitchen and went back to cooking so I told the lady at the front we weren’t eating there that we lost our appetite she kept saying they already started cooking and I told her what I saw and we left. Won’t be back!
